uCook Classes for Kids provide a fun and interactive introduction to the culinary, dessert and pastry world for kids and teenagers. Classes come in two flavours: the creation of desserts or pastries, and the exploration of world cuisines. From handling kitchen equipment and produce to measuring and portioning wet and dry ingredients, your child will gain confidence in the kitchen and be able to showcase what they've learned from our uCook Classes in their home.
uCook Classes for Kids Waiver : Here's the waiver parents and guardians need to fill in and sign prior to classes. You can simply sign and email a picture of the completed document (or electronically-signed PDF) to ucookclasses@gmail.com
Depending on the class chosen, areas covered may include:

• Careful instruction and demonstration on knife skills

• Measuring and portioning

• Food safety/sanitation

• Following direction and learning to read a recipe

• Instruction on dessert and pastry fundamentals

• Demonstration on the artistry of desserts; encouraging the use of imagination and creativity
Location: Marda Loop Communities Association (3130 16 St SW).
Drop-off/Pick-up: Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the class and pick-up can be promptly at the end of class.
Format: Hands-On, Demo
Attire: Wear indoor closed-toe shoes. Long hair must be tied back. We will provide masks as per COVID-19 measure.
Allergies: uCook Classes may include the preparation of foods containing nuts, fish and seafood, and other allergens. Contact us for more details.
Other: A 15-minute break will be provided in each class. No food or drink will be provided. However, we do suggest a snack (or lunch) for your child or, eating before class begins. There will be tastings of their creations throughout the class.
